The Government and the Australian public demand a lot from our servicemen and women, whose way of life is fairly unique. This also presents unique opportunities and challenges. RAAF Welfare activities are a way for Commanders to foster motivation, energy, enthusiasm and ‘mateship’ between our workforce in a social, less regimented team setting. In turn, this helps to develop leadership, morale, welfare and esprit-de-corps between Australian Defence Force members, Defence Public Servants and long-term Defence contractors (the Australian Defence Organisation) at our RAAF bases under Chief of Air Force ‘one team’ vision. The RAAF Richmond Fishing and Recreation Club (RRFRC) is one such Welfare activity that strives to connect ADO personnel from RAAF Richmond and other Defence bases via participation in club activities and the sharing of professional military and civilian experiences.
The RRFRC has operated at RAAF Richmond as a not-for-profit club since the early 2000s. Our facilities located on the RAAF Base includes a fully equiped music stage, arcade machine, table tennis, pool table, food & drinks and a kids play area.
RAAF Richmond Fishing and Recreation Club promotes and expects a non-judgmental and supportive attitude from participants. If you’re interested in joining or would like to learn more, please don’t hesitate to get in touch.
